Central Garage in the 1920's
In the 1920's Mike Wallace's grandfather, Gerald F. Wallace Sr. opened the Central Garage Company in Clearfield, PA (right). The small shop serviced Model T Fords and Fordson Tractors. Because of the family history, Mike's livelihood and hobby has always been cars. He built his first model car before he started grade school, and he distinctly remembers that his kindergarten teacher drove a beautiful new 1958 Chevy Impala.

In 1991 the Wallace's sold Wallace Automotive Inc.; it still operates today under the same name. In 1995 the Mike and Kathy opened Central Garage Company Inc., named after Mike's grandfather's business. They are still responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business.
